Going gas-free can also be done step by step. But make the right choice now.

The Intermediate Step Towards going Gas-free

If your home doesn't currently meet the requirements for going completely gas-free, such as lacking support for low-temperature heating or needing additional insulation, considering a hybrid heat pump could be a wise choice. In such cases, seeking advice on the options for an all-electric ready heat pump is a smart move. This type of heat pump starts as a hybrid system but can later be expanded to full electric, allowing your home to gradually transition to gas-free living. Moreover, when your home is ready for the next step, homeowners with an all-electric ready heat pump can replace the central heating boiler—primarily used for hot water—with a boiler. Have you ever wondered if an intermediate step towards fully electric living is the right approach for your home? At DLE, our specialists are ready to provide comprehensive advice and complete installation services to guide you through the process.

Step 1 | An all-electric ready setup begins as a hybrid system. Initially, the central heating boiler only activates as backup heating and provides hot water. Over time, as you transition, the system will gradually shift towards full electric functionality.

Step 2 | In the next phase, the central heating boiler is removed from your home, and the gas supply is shut off. Instead, a hot water boiler is connected to the heat pump. Note that the size of the tank can vary.

Step 3 | The heat pump now provides both heating and hot tap water. The backup heating system in the pump ensures your home remains comfortable, while the boiler supplies hot water for sinks and showers. As a result, you enjoy consistent warmth and convenience throughout your home.
